Deep ruby red in colour, this wine displays lifted ripe berry fruit and spice on the bouquet, complemented by leather and camphor wood characters. Prominent yeast autolytic aromas further add to this complex wine.
The palate is soft and full bodied exhibiting complex flavours of black plum, mature oak and yeast autolysis, and shows subtle creamy oak, concentrated flavours and fine persistent tannins. It is liqueured to a point of richness, however the balanced palate finishes dry due to the natural tannins and acidity.
