On 8 June, Barbara Weise, South Australian Minister of Tourism, officially opened a $2-million upgrade of the vineyard, winery, cellar door and garden area. Stanley Wine Company officially became Leasingham Wines.
Leasingham celebrated 100 years in the Clare Valley by creating the Classic Clare Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our 1994 Classic Clare Shiraz won the famous Jimmy Watson Trophy at the Melbourne Wine Show. Leasingham won the Adelaide Hyatt Regency Wine of the Year.
Bin 56 won 2 trophies at the Canberra Wine Show.
The 1997 Classic Clare Shiraz was named Wine of the Year and Australia's Best Shiraz by Winestate. The 1996 Classic Clare Shiraz was awarded the Max Schubert Trophy at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
Achieved ISO14001 accreditation for environmental management.
The 1999 Bin 56 was awarded two gold medals and Best Cabernet of Show at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
US publication, Wine & Spirits Magazine, lists Leasingham as one of the world's top 100 wine producers.
Release of the Leasingham Magnus and Circa ranges. Classic Clare Riesling awarded Single Estate (best) award at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
